Meridian

Meridian is part of the South-East macro region, together with Anglia. The Meridian region is also divided into four micro regions: Thames Valley, South Coast, Sussex and Kent. You can buy a package of advertising airtime here for as little as £6,060 (including commercial production subsidy). To find out more about the benefits of advertising in Meridian, the South-East macro region or any of the Meridian micro regions, please contact us.

Five key facts about the region

  • This is Britain’s ‘gateway’ region, easily accessible from the continent via the Kentish ports or the Channel Tunnel
  • Southampton is the major centre for business, culture, recreation and retail in the south of England. Its historic port handles 7% of the UK’s seaborne trade.
  • Brighton, situated between the South Downs and the sea, is one of Britain’s most popular visitor destinations, attracting five million people a year. It has become one of Europe's leading conference venues.
  • Brighton also provides the UK's most diverse nightlife outside London, with a high proportion of the population aged 20-30
  • Bluewater, in North Kent, is the largest and most innovative retail park in Europe
