Let's Do Lunch...with Gino & Mel

24th June 2011

Real food, real people & lots of fun!

GINO D’ACAMPO and MELANIE SYKES and are set to serve up a lunch time menu of food, fun and entertainment in a new commission for ITV1 Daytime.

Transmitting daily throughout the month of August, Lunch with Gino & Mel will see the duo present a fast-paced, live lunch hour centred around having fun with food.

In front of a live studio audience, each day Gino & Mel will welcome two celebrities to their kitchen. Gino will cook up a significant dish of their choice; maybe a pudding they ate whilst their partner proposed or a meal that reminds them of their mum. While Gino does the cooking, Mel and the celebrity will help him whilst chatting about their lives, loves & latest projects.

The studio audience have a huge role to play in the lunch hour festivities – which could be anything from being picked to cook alongside Gino to revealing embarrassing cookery stories from their past. Plus Gino will solve culinary dilemmas from “how do I make my Yorkshire puddings rise?” to “why is my mash always lumpy?”

Lunch with Gino & Mel promises to make your lunch hour the perfect place to kick back and be entertained.

Mel said: “It's fabulous to be back on ITV with a lunchtime show again - I know Gino and I are going to have an absolute blast - bring on the summer!”
