Tuesday's Ratings

Tuesday 17th April

Our top performing programme of the day was Emmerdale at 19:00.

This was watched by 6.8m viewers with a 33% share, and saw Laurel tell Ashley and Sandy that the care home now has a place for Sandy.

The second episode of The Mighty Mississippi with Trevor McDonald played out to an audience of 2.8m viewers, with a 12% share. This is 1 share point down on the opening episode, which attracted 3.3m / 13% share.
 
On other channels, BBC1’s EastEnders was the top performing programme of the night, with 8.0m viewers / 36% tuning in.

The penultimate episode of BBC1’s drama, The Syndicate, was watched by 5.5m viewers / 23% at 21:00. This is the best performing episode in the series so far, which has seen growth in every episode.
 
Channel 4’s The Undateables came to an end last night, with 2.7m viewers / 11% tuning in. The mini-series averaged 2.8m viewers / 12%, which is 1 share point up on the slot average for the channel.

Over on the digital channels, ITV3’s Taggart was our most watched programme. This saw 578,000 / 2.4% tune in to watch at 21:00.

A new episode of The Vampire Diaries also at 21:00 on ITV2 achieved 571,000 / 2.4%.
