ITV2 facts

In summary:

  • ITV2 reaches 8.9m more adults and 2.7m more 16-34s than Sky 1 each week.
  • ITV2’s Bionic Woman pulled in a massive 3.0m viewers (16.0%) on its launch making it the channel’s best programme ever!
  • Xtra Factor is going from strength to strength with a series average of 1.2m and 6.9% (10.5% 16-34s) in 2008 compared to 0.8m and 4.4% (6.4% 16-34s) in 2007. The episode on 6th December delivered an impressive 2.2m viewers, the best volume ever for the programme!
  • ITV2 has a much wider range of high-performing programmes than Sky 1.  ITV2’s top 200 programmes of 2008 consists of 44 different programme titles compared to just 21 for Sky 1, with The Simpsons occupying over half of the top 200 (102).
