Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris, the gardening enthusiasts who get caught up in mysteries involving death – and horticulture.
Ferris plays Laura Thyme, a former policewoman whose husband has left her for a younger woman.
Kendal is Rosemary Boxer, a plant biology lecturer whose career is on the line. When a sudden death brings them together, Rosemary and Laura discover they share a love of gardening – and a natural inquisitiveness.
Despite the girls’ best intentions to concentrate on solving the puzzles of nature, suspicious deaths and strange-goings-on have a habit of following them around.
Rosemary and Laura discover turmoil and dissent behind the picturesque settings, and thanks to their unobtrusive presence, the girls are able to eavesdrop on the communities where they work.
When they unearth tension, secrets and the occasional dead body, they can't resist the urge to dig deeper…
