Challenge
Boldon Bathrooms & Kitchens operates in an increasingly competitive market place with consumers having a plethora of choice when it comes to buying kitchens and bathrooms. Boldon needed a campaign which would drive awareness of the brand amongst a bigger audience, ultimately leading to an increase in showroom footfall and an increase in sales.
Insight
Boldon needed to demonstrate how it stood out from competitors due to its reputation in quality and value, as well as its knowledgeable staff. It wanted to target homeowners looking to improve or replace their bathroom or kitchen and as a historic radio advertiser Boldon wanted to use ITV to maximise potential audience reach.
Idea
The idea was for Bolden Bathrooms to use the ITV Business For All platform, which helps support new to TV and returning brands, to bolster their brand with tactical TV campaigns across the Tyne Tees region.
Boldon reported a marked increase in footfall and enquiries which could be correlate to spots which went out on ITV. The final burst of the TV campaign coincided with weekly revenue records being broken!
The advert cut through with customers recalling the TV advert. Boldon also noted the ITV campaign drove a younger profile of customers in store, this was due to the variety of programmes which were in the schedule.
Due to the success of the campaign Boldon are currently planning activity with ITV for 2019, this activity is an increase of 156% spend YoY.
1m Adults in the Tyne Tees region were reached in this campaign, equating to 59% of all adults in the region.
Having not used ITV for a number of years the Business For All incentive really appealed to us, and with the results the ITV campaign has delivered to the business we have no hesitation in including ITV within our advertising plan for 2019.Gary Hutchinson, Director, Boldon Bathrooms and Kitchens
