Despite the UK’s cultural heritage opening up once again as lockdown eases, there remains a significant threat to the existence of a number of culture and arts venues. Driving visitor numbers right now to galleries, museums and those cultural heritage venues that have reopened is critical.

So, we’ve created a more affordable and tailored way for those qualifying venues that have reopened to advertise, to help them through the challenges of Coronavirus: ITV Cultural Heritage Support Package

For cultural heritage venues wanting to advertise on ITV in July and August, we’re offering cost-effective advertising across spot airtime and online video on demand (VOD) with free creative production support (up to £500).

Flexibility Leverage ITV’s flexibility, from being able to book late, to using 1 of 15 regions, or going fully national

Example cultural heritage support package:

  • Airtime targeting visitors from the local area to your venue on one of our fifteen ITV regions

  • All spot airtime packages based on running during ITV daytime until 5pm in July  / August 2020

  • All VOD packages based on regional targeting of your venue

  • Booking minimum 5 days in advance given airtime closedowns and creative production turnaround (NB creative production may take longer if you require our services depending on your brief and existing workstreams)

  • Example package costs on a weekly basis can run across multiple weeks in July / August 2020 with a 30” ad across spot airtime and VOD

  • This support package is available to cultural heritage organisations including galleries, museums, theatres, music venues and historical / heritage venues. It does not include cinema releases or day-out attractions (eg theme parks)

  • Something for every budget – for example (all costs are gross – based on July 2020 as example):

    • £1,500: over 700,000 impacts across Tyne Tees region on airtime and ITV Hub

    • £5,000: over 1.9m impacts across Yorkshire region on airtime and ITV Hub

    • £10,000: over 2m impacts across Central region on airtime and ITV Hub

    • £15,000: over 2.1m impacts across London region (Carlton & LWT) on airtime and ITV Hub

Creative production support

Our creative production team will make your cultural heritage ad for free up to the value of £500, based on minimum media spend of £10,000. As our showreel demonstrates, this can include elements of the following in a range of styles and formats: stock footage, text and graphics, voiceover, music, photos, repurposing existing material.

In addition, we will do animatics, storyboard, scripting, Clearcast approval and delivery for transmission free of charge to support you. Please note that costs for all these elements can vary (e.g. regional v national usage costs for voiceover and music), so we can discuss alternative cost-effective solutions with you if needed. Any production costs over £500 would be paid by the cultural heritage organisation.

A few considerations:

  • Airtime will not go towards satisfying existing or future share or volume commitments

  • ITV main channel campaigns will include ITV plc regions only with exception of network campaigns

  • Available for July and August campaigns only, with a finite amount of airtime available on a first come first served basis for cultural heritage venues committing investment

  • This offer is open to cultural heritage organisations directly, as well as through their agencies
