We invest over £1bn in the finest programmes money can buy… and then along comes Boris on Monday night to ‘win’ the 7pm slot!
It’s not often we so publicly plug the BBC, but on Monday night over 10m people tuned in live to watch the Government’s roadmap for lockdown easing. At long last, businesses can plan using specific dates and details.
Since Tuesday morning, partners have reignited campaign discussions, such as travel and leisure brands actively planning with the prospect of an exciting summer ahead. But 12th April is the first significant milestone, leading to more conversations with retail brands as ‘non-essential’ stores will be able to open.
We want every partner to be able to plan with confidence, and for you to know that you have our support if deferments are necessary due to restrictions out of your control.
Although optimistic, Boris has declared that lockdown easing will be based on ‘data, not dates’. Therefore, if Government policy does change and prevent businesses from trading, we are continuing the same no-charge approach as we have in 2020: activity can defer and be recommitted, with no additional charges, once restrictions are eventually relaxed.
We hope this measure helps you plan ahead with even greater positivity, and we thank you for the valuable support and feedback you’ve continued to give us over recent months.
