Over 5000 children across the UK get involved in #ITVKidsCreate project

Earlier this month, ITV called on the nation’s kids to get creative whilst at home during the Covid-19 crisis by submitting their artwork for a chance for it to be broadcast on the channel’s idents.

The project has had a huge response, with 5853 children submitting their artwork online via the #ITVKidsCreate and @ITV channels. From toddlers to teens, children from across Britain have been getting involved, including many schools who are still open for the children of key workers.

Due to the high number of entries, ITV has decided to extend the project in order to air as many pieces of kids’ artwork as possible during the channel’s ad breaks. Submissions already made before the deadline of Sunday 19th April now have the chance of being broadcast on the channel across two weeks, until Sunday 3rd May. The chosen submissions will appear on air to brand the channel’s logo with each child whose work is shown being credited on screen.

ITV Kids Create builds on the existing ident approach, ITV Creates, which launched at the start of 2019. ITV Creates launched as a new on-screen identity project across the ITV main channel where new idents are showcased each week, with a different interpretation of the channel’s logo created by a wide range of British artists. The project aims to reflect ITV’s ongoing commitment to creativity, giving a platform to UK talent.
