The nation continues to turn to ITV for escapism, intrigue and entertainment
The Masked Singer final attracted 10.0mviewers as viewers tuned in to watch Sausage revealed as Joss Stone. This was up by +2.4m compared to the previous series finale last year, making it the biggest audience on any channel, outside of Boris’ UK Lockdown announcement in January.
Ant and Dec took over the Masked Singer slot last Saturday, bringing us some joy with the 17th series of Saturday Night Takeaway. With an overnight audience of 7.3m and peaking at 8.1m the show got off to an outstanding start. This makes it the second highest rating programme of the year just behind the Masked Singer, outside of news and sport across any channel.
Ant and Dec launched a brand new commercial partnership with TikTok bringing viewers the “happiest minute of the week”. A winner will be announced every week during the show and their TikTok video will be shared with the nation.
Unforgotten goes from strength to strength with the 4th series launching to an overnight audience of 5.1m viewers, making it the programme's biggest ever episode for overnight viewing. Drama continues to perform well on ITV with the second series of The Bay launching with 7.1m viewers and Finding Alice consolidating with 7.5million viewers.
