Birds of a Feather Fly Abroad

This Winter on ITV, hit comedy Birds of a Feather will return to the channel in a feature length hour long special to air over the festive period – its first overseas location based Christmas special in nearly 20 years*.

Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph return as the original Essex girls Sharon Theodopolopodos, Tracey Stubbs and Dorien Green in a brand new story for the popular trio.

The special will see the ladies on an adventure that takes them to sunnier places they've never been before...far from the comforts of Chigwell.

The episode will be written by the series regular writing team of creators Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran with Gary Lawson and John Phelps. Produced by John Pocock and Executive Producers will be Jon Rolph and Steve Sheen.

Show creators, Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran said "We're delighted and excited to be embarking on a new adventure with these three incomparable characters. We don't want to give away too many secrets, but we promise the ITV audience a rollicking Christmas adventure."

Pauline Quirke said "Us birds all together abroad can only mean one thing - mayhem! I'm really looking forward to filming this feature length Christmas special with the ladies."
