Brit Awards received 1,484,000 tweets!

Following on from the fantastic overnight viewing figures, Wednesday night's Brit Awards also received 1,484,000 tweets about the show during TX (Counting tweets 30 mins before and after TX). To put this into perspective, it is the single biggest programme for tweet volumes since June 1st 2012 (When Second Sync started gathering data). The show averaged a pretty awesome 9,521 tweets every minute.

It beat The X Factor Final Results show which recorded 1,126,802 on the 9th December 2012. The nearest non ITV programme was Sports Personality of The Year 2012 on BBC1 which recorded a volume of 588,583.
