Exciting ITV.com Opportunities Ahead!

I don't get out much.

That’s why it was so great to meet some big clients last week and have the opportunity to talk them through the new programmes we're launching on itv.com - the first you can see here at itv.com/thismorning

Our lovely Multiplatform Solutions team invited me along to meet the Digital Marketing Director, among others, from the agency.

I was able to explain to them the strategy behind our responsively designed site:  how the vernacular of the web was no longer page-based, but a real-time feed of atomised content items, super-charged for mobile and for social sharing.

In fact, the success of relaunched ITV News site, which had a ten-fold increase in traffic - with 40% visitors on mobile and 40% traffic coming from social media - was the inspiration for our approach...

We could show how the site rendered itself dynamically for any device and any screen size - Laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android, Tablet, Windows phone or Blackberry - no app can do that.

Our Entertainment Producer Teresa demonstrated how that made for a powerful second screen, to ampifly our great TV shows with participation experiences, giving brands the chance to get even closer to viewers, super-fast publishing, and synchronised ads using our fantastic As Sync product, previously seen only in apps.

It all makes for a pretty exciting future for activating programme sponsorship online.
