ITV Encore's Broadchurch Steals The Show At The Bafta TV Awards

ITV brought the house down last night at one of TV's most prestigious awards ceremonies, the Bafta TV Awards by taking home a massive eight awards.
Cheeky chaps Ant & Dec were among the big winners, picking up two gongs for Best Entertainment Programme for Saturday Night Takeaway, and Entertainment Performance.

But it was Broadchurch that stole the show. With the drama lined up for the opening week of our new channel, ITV Encore on 9th June, the programme added another trophy to its ever-expanding cabinet, collecting three awards for Leading Actress, Supporting Actor and Best Drama. Olivia Colman’s win for her portrayal as DS Ellie Miller in Broadchurch brought her BAFTA tally to three in just two years.

Coronation Street also nabbed the gong for best Soap and Continuing Drama, bringing a total of 10 BAFTAs to Weatherfield.

Hosted by Graham Norton at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, we won a truck load of trophies. See the full list below:
