ITV launches new Saturday Night Takeaway app with interactive features
ITV today announced the launch of its brand new Saturday Night Takeaway app for iOS and Android devices. The app, sponsored by Morrisons as part of their fully integrated partnership with the show, offers viewers exciting new interactive features as well as all the exclusive news, games and quizzes from the series.
The official app allows users to show their support around the daredevil Ant vs Dec challenges as the presenters go head to head against each other in the programme. Users will have the opportunity to choose to support Ant or Dec in their live challenge and for the first time, win a cash prize if they pick the winning presenter. Further digital activity for the series also includes a brand new user generated content feature, giving users the chance to impress the Supercomputer by sending in their videos of their hidden talents with the most unique and entertaining clips broadcast live on-air.
Alongside interactive activity, the app will also allow viewers to go behind the scenes with exclusive videos, keep up to date with all the news and gossip from the series, relive the funniest moments and best bits from the show and take part in quizzes to test their Takeaway knowledge. In addition, users of the app will be able to follow Twitter conversations around the series with comments integrated into one simple feed.
As part of Morrisons sponsorship of Saturday Night Takeaway, ITV have also created a bespoke Morrisons-branded game to sit within the new app. The game is a modern twist on the classic, much-loved game of snap and challenges users to match as many pairs as possible in the fastest time in order to progress through a series of challenges to earn a place on the game's leaderboard. Titled 'Match & More', the game aligns with Morrisons recently launched store card which allows customers to earn points on their grocery shop to spend in-store or online.

Saturday Night Takeaway returns to screens this year for its twelfth series. The last series of the award-winning Saturday night entertainment show averaged 7.6 million viewers per episode.
