Following on from the announcement that ITV had brokered a rights deal with FIFA for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ alongside the BBC, ITV can now announce a new sponsorship agreement with global small business platform, Xero.
As Official FIFA Women’s Football Partner, as well as partner of the England Senior Women’s team, Xero will sponsor the coverage across ITV platforms for the duration of the tournament. This covers an entire month from tomorrow (Thursday July 20) until Sunday August 20, spanning 32 games in total across ITV1, ITV4 and ITVX, with both simulcast and catch up readily available on ITVX.
The all encompassing package will feature broadcast, bumpers and social activity, including Twitter amplification. There will be branded posts across ITV’s social football platforms, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook; plus there will be 10” bumpers around all free FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ UK streaming and catch-up content available on ITVX via desktop, mobile apps and connected TVs.
The deal is confirmed by ITV’s Commercial Sales and Partnerships team, plus agency december19.
ITV and the BBC will provide live television coverage of the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ in Australia and New Zealand, which starts in Auckland tomorrow (Thursday July 20). Because of the tournament’s location in the southern hemisphere, kick-off times will be early with three quarters of matches beginning between 8am and midday UK time.
