Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puddings celebrate the final series of Downton Abbey
2015 was a highly collaborative year for Aunt Bessie’s and ITV. In a world first, the Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire pudding packs were re-branded to become ‘Mrs Patmore’s’ to celebrate the final series of Downton Abbey.
Aunt Bessie's wanted to inspire the nation to have their Yorkshire Puddings more often with roast chicken, and for meals throughout the week, not just on weekend occasions.
Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puddings evoke a sense of occasion around family mealtimes and this feeling is mirrored in Downtown Abbey each time the Grantham family come together over a meal prepared by their lovable cook Mrs Patmore.
An on-pack licensing deal with Downton Abbey was created to feature across Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Pudding range.
In a world first, to celebrate the final series of Downton Abbey, the Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire Pudding packs were re-branded to become ‘Mrs Patmore’s’. The packs featured Mrs Patmore's image replacing the iconic Aunt Bessie's character and gave customers the chance to win 'a Downton Dinner' at Grantham House. This innovative on-pack promotion featured on 7 million packs across the UK.
