ITV Gets the Nation Talking

No other channel gets people talking quite like ITV… An interesting snippet from the OfCom Communications Market Report 2013 showed that according to Second Sync, of all channels, the average volume of Tweets per programme (excluding News and Sport) between June 2012 and May 2013 was greatest for ITV.

The X Factor alone attracted an average of 406,000 Tweets per programme and over 15 million across the whole series!

ITV ranked number one channel, with 55% more average Tweets per programme than the BBC, which came in 2nd. ITV2 also ranked in the top 4 with programmes like TOWIE consistently generating lots of chatter. Great to know that all our shows that we love here at ITV are creating such an exciting buzz across Twitter.
